Maj. General William Henry Talbot Walker, CSA. Born: November 28, 1816. Died: July 22, 1864. Buried in the Walker Family Cemetery. The son of Augusta's first mayor, Freeman Walker, he was killed in action in the Battle of Atlanta. The Augusta Genealogical Society is a nonprofit organization located in downtown Augusta, Georgia.
